Our story

After a turbulent year and the aftermath of 2020, along with battling my seasonal affective disorder, my husband and I sat down to discuss what were some things that were important to us. We had just survived the uncertainties so many others had faced that we decided it was time for us and our little family to go from surviving to thriving. We decided to invest in our family and from the fruition of our investment have a ripple effect on the community around us.

The most effective therapy for me has been dirt therapy. I love digging my hands into the soil and seeing what beautiful things I can grow. I spent the spring of 2022 reading all I could on organic gardening practices. Once the winter snow melted, it was time to jump on in and put into practice the things that I have read and learned from other seasoned growers. Our garden turned out better than we could have dreamed! It became our own little safe haven and the favorite place for our family to be.

I dedicated three of 10 rows in our garden to flowers to ensure that I would have constant blooms to fill our home. Little did I know my eyes were bigger than my stomach and I had a surplus of blooms to share. I decided to start bringing arrangements to friends and loved ones as a way to show them that I was thinking of them. This organically grew to the point that people started to reach out to me to bring arrangements to their coworkers and friends.

From this, my husband and I decided it was time to see where our little haven would take us. So we have started Homegrown Haven. Our family is excited to share our little haven by bring more beautiful blooms and love into our community.
